Parliament Funkadelic

With regards to Joe Wilson's now cable-saturated outburst at Obama's speech the other night, can all of these liberal pundits and Democratic politicians drop this canned act of being shocked and appalled by calling for him to be censured or resign for his "un-American" act of disrespect? Must we pretend that a no-doz popping, apartheid loving, neo-confederate gargoyle like Rep. Joe Wilson likes or respects the president? These phony standards of civility and decorum mask a much deeper immorality--or is it amorality?--endemic in our political culture. Christ, just look at those guys in the above picture, why must they even remain seated? At this point, Congress is basically a Civil War reenactment without the costumes, so why not take it to the next level? Besides, this feigned respect would rob us of classic press conferences, like the one Wilson had to give the other day. He looked, and sounded like he was waiting for the results of an AIDS test. Our Congress needs to be more like British parliament, with more hooting and jeering, "Question Time" Style...



Or better yet, it needs to be more like the South Korean Parliament with more people getting beaten with loafers...





or the Ukraine...



or Taiwan...



Next to Air Show disasters, Rally car mishaps, and animal attacks, these Parliamentary maneuvers are easily the best thing on any highlight reel of "Most Amazing Moments" or "Best Disasters Caught on Film." Are you telling me you don't want to see Michelle Bachmann choke a bitch? Or have someone slap the tan off John Boehner?
